FIFA 19 is a soccer simulator developed in collaboration by EA Vancouver and EA Romania studios. NBA 2K18 is the latest installment in 2K Sports’ bestselling basketball game series, developed by Visual Concepts for current- and last-gen consoles as well as PC. FIFA 17 is the latest soccer title from the experienced sports game developer EA Canada. It features significant changes and improvements over its predecessor, first and foremost being the switch from Ignite to the more advanced Frostbite graphics engine. Attack on Titan is an upcoming action game based on a popular Japanese manga and anime series of the same name. It is developed by Omega Force and published by Koei Tecmo. While the game originally only launched on PlayStation consoles in Japan, the Western release will also include Xbox One and Windows (Steam) versions.

Attack on Titan features the key moments and characters from the anime, and offers some additional content as well. Players battle Titans, accomplish missions, and earn resources used to upgrade their swords and 3D maneuver gear. There is a Survey Mode which allows the players to roam freely outside the city walls. The game also has a multiplayer co-op mode supporting up to four people.

Madden NFL 17 is the latest installment in the popular football game franchise, made by the usual developers, EA Tiburon, for current and last-gen consoles. The upcoming title is said to offer the most balanced gameplay to date, bringing new ball carrier feedback cues, defender fake out mechanics, and an authentic defensive AI system based on modern NFL strategies.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a LEGO-themed action-adventure game developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros for all major gaming platforms. While mostly based on the eponymous movie, it also includes content which covers the events between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

Mighty No. 9 is a side-scrolling platformer developed by Inti Creates and Keiji Inafune’s Comcept. Touted as a spiritual successor to the Mega Man franchise, the game raised $3.8 million on Kickstarter and was developed with significant input from the Beckers (a pun on the protagonist’s name). According to the developers, they intend to bring the best elements of the classic 8- and 16-bit era titles to the modern gaming platforms.

PlayStation owners will be happy to learn that Mighty No. 9 features Cross-Buy across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. The game is 3D-enabled on the 3DS, and supports Wii U’s GamePad. The system requirements for the PC version have also been announced, and can be found on the official website.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a sequel to the 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. The game has protagonist Lara Croft traveling to remote and dangerous locations like Syria or Syberia in an attempt to uncover ancient secrets.

As expected of a title featuring Lara’s first actual tomb raiding expedition, it includes more exploration and puzzles than its predecessor. NBA 2K16 is a basketball simulator developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. Compared to its predecessor, it features more lifelike crowds, better player movement animations, and even more realistic shoes – all changes aimed at making NBA 2K16 “the most authentic NBA gaming experience yet.” It is also said that the game improves post play and allows taller athletes to use their height advantage over the smaller defenders when close to the basket.

NHL 16 is the next installment in EA’s highly popular hockey video game franchise. Developed for the current-gen consoles, the game will also be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 as NHL: Legacy Edition.

MGS V: The Phantom Pain is a direct sequel to Ground Zeroes developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. Battlefield Hardline is a first-person shooter developed by Visceral Games in collaboration with DICE, and published by EA. Unlike the previous installments in the series, BFHL is police-themed and pits cops against robbers in a variety of game modes. Heist, for example, tasks the criminals with stealing money from a vault and escaping while law enforcement officers attempt to stop them. Blood Money has both teams competing to carry money from the main cache to their own vault. Then there’s the Rescue mode, which, like the name suggests, involves retrieving hostages being held by the criminals.

In addition to the ever-popular multiplayer, Battlefield Hardline also features a proper single-player campaign. Its story follows Nick Mendoza, a rookie detective who, alongside with his more experienced partner Khai Minh Dao, attempts to take down Miami’s drug lords.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is an upcoming fighting game developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Games. It features large, fully 3D levels, environmental destruction, and battles in the air, on the ground, and under water. In addition to the online multiplayer with up to 3v3 team matches, it will also be possible to play locally.

The game’s Story Mode follows an original player-created character (customization options include race, gender, clothing, voice, etc.) and is said to offer 10+ hours of gameplay. The plot revolves around a pair of villains who attempt to rewrite the history of the Dragon Ball universe, while the player attempts to restore it.

Dying Light is a first-person action / survival horror title developed by Techland, the makers of Dead Island. Like its predecessor, the game is also centered around a zombie apocalypse, but there are numerous changes as well. For one, Dying Light takes place in a slum city, and gives the players the ability to traverse it easily using parkour-style jumping and running. The day and night cycle is a core gameplay element, with the infected becoming stronger and faster in the dark. The idea is to scavenge for supplies during the day, and find shelter before the nightfall, when the truly dangerous monsters come out to play. Even the best player-crafted weapons and traps might not be enough to kill enemies like the fearsome Night Hunter.
