Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a platformer developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision. It is a sequel to the 1998 Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. After Neo Cortex and N. Tropy escape their space-time prison and launch an assault on the entire universe, Crash and Coco set out to collect the Quantum Masks and save the day.

The masks are more than just a story element and will grant new powers. The Time Mask, for instance, slows time while the Gravity Mask allows Crash and Coco to walk on ceilings. To commemorate the he 35th anniversary of their Super Mario franchise, Nintendo is launching Super Mario 3D All-Stars: a bundle of three 3D platformers remastered for Nintendo Switch. These include Super Mario 64 (1996), Super Mario Sunshine (2002), and Super Mario Galaxy (2007). In addition to the games themselves, Super Mario 3D All-Stars also includes the games’ original soundtracks (for a total of 175 tracks) that can be listened even while the screen is off.

With the launch of Catherine: Full Body on Switch confirmed, owners of Nintendo’s console will soon be able to step into the shoes of 32-year-old slacker Vincent and experience the dark and mature storyline involving a love square between himself, his long-term girlfriend Katherine, a seductive hottie he meets in a bar, Catherine, and his mysterious amnesiac neighbour, Rin.

In a surprise announcement, Nintendo has revealed a new installment in the Paper Mario RPG-platforming series. Titled Paper Mario: The Origami King, it features a brand new story that involves Princess Peach being turned into an origami by King Olly, the ruler of the Origami Kingdom.

In contrast to the turn-based 2D combat of the previous Paper Mario titles, The Origami King features a new 360° ring-based battle system where Mario has to line up enemies to cause the most damage and chain attacks. Darksiders Genesis is an isometric hack-n-slash RPG developed by Airship Syndicate and published by THQ Nordic. It is a spin-off from the main Darksiders series, and stars Strife, the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, as well as his brother War. The player can switch between gunslinger Strife and swordsman War during gameplay, or tackle the game in a local or online co-op with a friend.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a spin-off platformer from Playtonic Games and Team17 that stars the chameleon Yooka and the bat Laylee. When their arch-nemesis Capital B concocts an evil plan to enslave a kingdom of bees, it is up to the buddy duo to save the day.

Unlike its 3D predecessor Yooka-Laylee, the spin-off is a side-scrolling 2.5D platformer in the style of Donkey Kong Country. It does however have a 3D Overworld that acts as a hub and contains secrets and puzzles.

Indivisible is a crowdfunded action RPG slash platformer from Lab Zero Games, the developer of Skullgirls. It follows Ajna, a “fearless girl with a rebellious streak”, who sets out on a quest to uncover the truth about her newly awakened powers and save the world of Loka. Along the way she encounters many Incarnations: unique characters who she can absorb and manifest to fight at her side.

The game features hand-drawn anime-style visuals and an opening animated by Studio Trigger. The composer of Indivisible‘s soundtrack is Hiroki Kikuta of Secret of Mana fame.

The three iconic heroes – Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief – join forces once again to rescue a young prince haunted by his own dark powers in Frozenbyte’s upcoming Trine 4. Catherine: Full Body is a remaster of the 2011 title Catherine – a puzzle platformer slash visual novel from Atlus. Besides improved visuals and gameplay, the remaster also adds a new character – the mysterious amnesiac, Rin, who moves in next door to protagonist Vincent – as well as alternate endings for both Catherine and Katherine.

Other additions include a new “Safety Mode” for those who just want to experience the story without struggling through the game’s punishing puzzles, as well as a ranked online battle system where players can get matched up randomly or with others around their skill level.
